- This is a real invasion! – Yuri Vladimirovich shouted into the phone. “I lived in this world for sixty-three years, but I never saw anything like this before I retired.” They are similar to household bugs, only they are oblong and tough - you can’t just crush them. When you pick them up, they immediately release a protective smell - a stench like bedbugs. Only unlike those, they also fly.

At first, the story of the excited pensioner seemed incredible to us. But as soon as our correspondents arrived at the scene, it became clear that the reader was not deceived.

“Here they are,” the man pointed to the stone surface of the house. Small black dots ran across it. We took a closer look at them: dark brown insects with wings, not very pleasant to look at.

At what subzero temperature do bedbugs die? As for frost, everything is not so simple here. Parasites can easily survive -10°C, falling into suspended animation. A cold of -15-17°C will be destructive for them, but only if it lasts for about 3-4 days.

And at -20°C, a few hours are enough for adult individuals to die. Eggs in this situation turn out to be more stable and will last a couple of days. But over time, frost kills them too.

The surest way to combat home bugs is steam treatment and boiling water.

Remember that water that is not hot enough will not bring the expected results.

In order to kill not only adult parasites, but also their larvae, the water should be heated above 50°C. Boiling water is ideal.

1. An ordinary thermal gun. These are used for installing modern suspended ceilings.
