The drought in Tatarstan, which is repeated for the fifth year in a row, is forcing a reorientation of agriculture. Now the main source of income should be the dairy industry.

The government of the republic instructed agricultural enterprises to collect at least 300 thousand tons of grain for the food fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, and municipal districts to bake bread from their own grain in order to prevent its price from rising during transportation.

The key topic at the meeting following the work of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan was traditionally drought. This year's harvest should be completed during August with the mobilization of forces - there are not enough harvesting machines in the region and this will have to be compensated for by timely organization of harvesting, said the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov.

Let us recall that in early June, a state of emergency due to dry wind was introduced in 41 of the 43 districts of the Republic of Tatarstan. There is no reason to count on a record harvest: crops continue to die and yields continue to decline. It is expected that with good organization of labor it will be possible to harvest 60 thousand hectares of grain per day.

Today, transitory grain reserves are estimated at 300 thousand tons. This volume is not enough, since the republic needs at least 500 thousand tons for free supply. The Agrarian Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan instructed the regions to provide bakeries with locally produced food grains, regardless of weather conditions.

But the main “trump card” in agriculture this year should be dairy production, said Marat Akhmetov. He is convinced that the current purchasing prices are making this business more and more interesting - even during the period of high milk prices, prices are only 3-4 rubles. /l exceed last year’s and this takes into account the purchase of equipment for thermal packaging, which, by the way, was purchased here https://upak-potenzial.ru .

Currently, the republic produces 3.5 thousand tons of milk per day. Local authorities want to maintain this level until the end of the year. In the first 6 months, 862 thousand tons of milk were produced in Tatarstan with a total value of 9.82 billion rubles.
