Preparing the premises for processing in Izhevsk and the Republic of Udmurtia

For a comprehensive (full) treatment of all rooms and common areas (kitchen, bathroom, corridor), approximately the following time is required:
  • for a one-room apartment it takes 30-40 minutes
  • for a two-room apartment - about 40-50 minutes
  • for a three-room apartment – 50-60
  • for a four-room apartment - 60-70

In order for sanitization to be carried out with maximum effect, before the disinfectant arrives, the apartment must be prepared following the advice from this article.

Before processing

  1. Pets should be isolated during partial treatment; during complex treatment, they should be taken outside the premises.
  2. food and utensils from open surfaces and cover them in vapor-proof packaging (hermetically sealed glass or tin containers) or put them in the refrigerator.
  3. Remove personal hygiene items .
  4. Place personal belongings and toys
  5. furniture, oil paintings, household appliances (refrigerator, TV, computer and other electrical appliances) with plastic wrap.
  6. Remove and carefully cover food products that may be exposed to aerosol.
  7. Leave all folding furniture in the unfolded position (if bedbug treatment is being carried out).
  8. Examine books for the presence of black spots in the binding areas - these are traces of bedbugs. If such traces are present in the book, it should be thrown away.
  9. The wallpaper is also checked for the presence of black dots. If detected, it is recommended to remove the wallpaper to achieve maximum effect.

Cockroach repellents for professional pest control

Professional exterminators work with aerosol insecticides, which are sprayed indoors using a professional sprayer or generator. Basically, special concentrated agents are used for disinsection, from which disinfecting solutions are prepared. These include:

  • Sinuzan;

  • Avicin;

  • Averfos;

  • Xulat;

  • Tetrix;

  • Solfak;

  • Forssyth.

Most of the concentrates are sold in large quantities and are available only to companies involved in baiting insects in residential premises.

During processing

  1. It is prohibited to carry out sanitary treatment in the presence of people, pets, birds, and fish.
  2. The presence of the customer next to the master is allowed only in protective equipment . Protective equipment must completely protect the skin, eyes and internal organs from aerosol particles. Equipment usually includes: a cotton robe or overalls, a scarf, an oversleeve, gloves, sealed goggles and a universal respirator or gas mask.
  3. Treatment can be carried out with open windows (in case of ULV irrigation).

Where to go for professional pest control?

One of the most difficult moments is choosing a trusted company that deals with the disinfestation of premises. To avoid falling for the services of scammers, follow these recommendations:

  1. Contact large sanitary treatment networks that have long been known in the market and have branches in other cities. Most often, the prices of such companies are not the most expensive.
  2. Take an interest in reviews on the forums about the chosen company.
  3. Ask your representative about the appropriate licenses for the insecticide being used.
  4. Check whether the contract is signed between you and the company and whether it is certified by a seal.
  5. To identify a fake company, ask if they have a “cold fog” processing method; small, unserious companies do not have the funds for such expensive equipment.
  6. If a company representative assures that there may be people in the room during treatment, disinfestation will not live up to expectations.
  7. Pay for pest control services only upon completion of the work.
  8. When the specialist arrives, check the presence of all the described documents, as well as the compliance of the license with the label of the product used.
  9. Reliable companies provide a free second visit if the first treatment does not bring results.
  10. Wearing protective equipment, personally monitor the progress of processing.

If all points are met and the documents are in perfect order, you can be sure that disinfestation will bring a positive result.

After processing

  1. The room should be well ventilated for at least 30 minutes in the absence of people.
  2. After airing, you should wipe the surfaces with which you will often come into contact (working surfaces of tables, cabinets, shelves, window sills, door handles, etc.) using a soda solution of soda ash (30-50 g per 1 liter of water) with soap, in rubber gloves.
  3. bed linen at high temperature and iron.

General cleaning of the apartment is carried out no earlier than 14 days , only after the death of all insects or after the expiration of the drug.

How long does disinfestation last? What to do if cockroaches don't go away

After disinfestation, including professional disinfestation, insects do not immediately disappear. This happens gradually over 1-2 weeks. The poison begins to act the moment it is sprayed, but cockroaches are extremely tenacious. In the first 2-3 days after treatment, the number of insects in the room increases sharply. This is normal, the poisonous substance disorients them and makes them act differently than usual. Gradually there will be fewer cockroaches. By the end of the 2nd week after treatment, not a single insect will remain in the room.

Treating an apartment against cockroaches, even professionally, does not provide a 100% guarantee. During disinfestation of cockroaches, in most cases, only adult individuals are destroyed; the eggs are not exposed to the toxic substance, therefore, 3 weeks after its administration, the procedure is repeated. By this time, the eggs have already turned into larvae, which are affected by any poison from cockroaches.

Sometimes sanitizing an apartment against cockroaches does not help due to excessive contamination of the surface. If the house is not cleaned, garbage is stored in inappropriate places and in an inappropriate manner, then the risk of re-infestation of the house with cockroaches remains quite high. In this case, first they carry out a general cleaning of the room or make repairs to it - they cover the walls with new wallpaper, change the floors, windows (if the surfaces are wooden, then they simply paint them).

Important! After the repair, the number of cockroaches will decrease several times and to finally get rid of them you will not need much time and a very small amount of poisonous agents.

Reviews

Ekaterina, Sochi: “I never thought that I couldn’t cope with cockroaches. It was so simple, it seemed to me, keep the apartment clean, clean up after yourself and everything will be fine. But it was not there. We got the apartment after the death of our mother-in-law - an ordinary Soviet two-room apartment without renovation, but in decent condition. And everything would be fine, but cockroaches also claimed housing along with us. The mother-in-law kept the house clean, but she found neighbors who were not very clean. She poisoned the cockroaches with powders and crayons, and I tried too, but nothing worked. Then I decided to have it professionally processed. I won’t say that it helped immediately, but after about 2 weeks the cockroaches really began to die.”

Marina, Chelyabinsk: “I bought Xulat, a cockroach repellent. The treatment was carried out by the husband in accordance with the instructions. At first I thought that nothing would work, since the number of insects almost doubled in the first week, but then I noticed that the cockroaches had suddenly disappeared somewhere. This means the drug really works.”

Important! Before baiting cockroaches, it is important to make sure that the person conducting it knows how to prepare the apartment for this procedure and what means to use for this. If the homeowner has never baited insects, it is better for him to entrust this matter to professionals. Self-treatment against cockroaches is carried out according to the instructions and in compliance with all necessary precautions.

More details:

In the rooms:

  • Carry out normal cleaning: vacuum or wash the floors, wipe off dust. Sort out your things - there should be no chaos in the apartment .
  • During treatment, remove the things that you touch most often: remote controls for household appliances, telephone, keyboard and mouse of your home PC.
  • If there are bedbugs in the apartment, prepare the furniture for treatment: empty cabinets and linen drawers. It is recommended to boil and iron bedding to reduce the likelihood of insects appearing from the masonry.

In the kitchen:

  • Remove food and utensils so that insect repellent cannot get on them. Empty the cabinets in which insects were noticed - they will be treated. We recommend wrapping work surfaces, such as countertops, with cling film or plastic wrap - this way you will significantly reduce the cleaning time after a visit from our technician.

Common areas:

  • In the toilet rooms, make sure that personal hygiene items are removed: toothbrushes, razors, towels, cotton swabs. It is also recommended to remove tubes, bottles and other closed containers that you use during toilet procedures during treatment.

Preparing the premises for fumigation - treatment against bark beetles

Photo preparation for fumigation

Fumigation is a complex process, the final result of which directly depends on the correct preparation of the room. What to do:

  • Hermetically seal ventilation systems, chimneys, air ducts, communication inputs and outputs
  • If the room has regular wooden frames rather than plastic ones, they must be taped with wide masking tape.
  • If the wood is severely damaged by pests, as well as if it is impossible to carry out high-quality sealing, the building is placed under the so-called “dome”. A frame is erected on the outside of the house, onto which dense polyethylene is attached: it prevents gas from escaping.
  • Completely de-energize the room and turn off the gas
  • During treatment, remove all electronics and household appliances from the house. If this is not possible, then pack the devices in thick plastic bags
  • Living indoors during treatment is strictly PROHIBITED!
  • Warn neighbors about the upcoming fumigation procedure so that they do not approach the house within a radius of 10-15 meters.
  • The air temperature outside MUST be above zero.
  • Treatment takes 20-40 minutes (laying out the preparation), and the process itself lasts 4-7 days, depending on the degree of damage to the wood by insects.
  • After the allotted time, a disinfection specialist carries out degassing - removing toxic gas vapors to within acceptable limits. To determine the completeness of degassing from phosphine preparations, the master uses indicator tubes.

General rules for preparing an apartment for disinfestation

If you can’t get rid of parasites on your own, it makes sense to contact a pest control service. Service employees know the characteristics of each type of pest, use professional equipment and preparations to treat the infested premises.

During disinfestation, the first to be treated are the places that are used by all residents - the bathroom, kitchen, corridor. Sanitation is preceded by mandatory preparation of the apartment:

  1. Do a wet cleaning of the rooms. The dust accumulated under the furniture will fly around the apartment when the cold fog generator is operating. Only clean surfaces are treated with exterminators.
  2. Place personal items and hygiene products in ziplock bags.
  3. Empty kitchen cabinets. Be sure to put the food in the refrigerator or hide it under film, and cover the dishes tightly.
  4. Remove unnecessary items and trash cans from under the sink.
  5. If possible, move furniture and household appliances away, clearing the walls.
  6. Remove the baseboards that cover the legs of the kitchen units.
  7. Remove hanging towels and household items to allow service staff to clean the walls.

All pets, including aquarium fish, must be removed from the apartment. Remember that disinfestation is carried out indoors.

Before using hot fog, it is recommended to notify your neighbors and cover (or seal) the ventilation openings.
