Using Fas products to control cockroaches

Humanity has been fighting cockroaches for centuries, using folk remedies against them and producing new effective chemicals. One of the modern brands that has recently appeared on sale is Fas for cockroaches.

Professional Fas products: composition and range

Preparations of the Fas brand are nominated as professional products, i.e. used by specialists of sanitary and epidemiological services (SES) for pest control. Fas poison against cockroaches is insectoacaricidal, highly effective against all types of cockroaches and other insects: ants, ticks, bedbugs, fleas and even spiders.

Several types of chemicals are produced under this brand:

• Fas Super and Double powder;
• water-soluble tablets;
• gel Fas.

The drug contains 2 insecticides: thiamethoxam and cypermethrin, which are usually used in professional pest control of premises and have an average degree of toxicity.

Liquid emulsion concentrate against cockroaches FAS-Alphacypermethrin

It is produced in the form of a transparent emulsion with a specific odor. Immediately before use, prepare a solution - add 5 ml of concentrate to 1 liter of water at room temperature. Pour into a spray bottle or household spray bottle. Treat the floor, baseboards, and furniture on the reverse side.

Emulsion

The active component is a contact insecticidal substance - alphacypermethrin 10%. Maximum properties last 2 hours, act instantly. The residual effect lasts about 14 days. If the home is heavily infested, repeated disinsection is recommended.

The shelf life of the concentrate is 3 years from the date of manufacture; after dilution in water, it should be used within 3 days, but better immediately. Consumption – per 1 sq. m. surface 50 ml of product. Fas for cockroaches should be stored away from direct sunlight. Sold in bottles of different capacities, minimum volume 50 ml.

For professional treatment, SES services in residential and industrial premises often use Fas tablets against cockroaches. They are water-soluble, so when used independently, the tablets are filled with the amount of water specified in the instructions and stirred until they are completely dissolved.

The product is applied by spraying the solution from a spray bottle on all surfaces in the living room, as well as in the kitchen and bathroom. Repeated treatment can be done after 2 weeks.

Other products under the FAS brand

For the quick, effective destruction of Prussians, products are produced in the form of tablets and powder. The drugs act by contact and retain their properties in the house for up to 2 months. Active components are resistant to light and temperature. They are used as independent, additional means.

• Super-FAS powder. Used for home treatment. Spread a thin layer in places where insects are most concentrated, along the trajectory of their movement, or prepare a solution. It has no smell, does not generate dust, and is quickly removed. The effect of the poison is neutralized by an alkaline solution. There are several active substances, which prevents addiction in cockroaches. The composition contains zeta-cypermethrin and thiamethoxam.
• FAS tablets. The same Super-FAS powder, but compressed into tablet form. Used to prepare a solution. The composition contains additional components that prevent the destruction of active substances in a humid environment. After disinfestation, it retains its properties in the house for up to 4 weeks. For 1 liter of water, 10 g of product is required.
• Powder Fas-Double. Sold in 125 g bags. Scatter along baseboards, behind furniture, near sinks and toilets. It operates on the basis of two insecticides - zeta-cypermethrin, esfenvalerate. Retains toxic properties for more than 2 months. Poisons Prussians in the house by contact.

Gel Fas

Fas insecticidal gel for cockroaches is another type of product of this brand and has less toxicity. Available in the form of a tube of 20 and 75 ml with a sharp spout, convenient for applying the substance to hard-to-reach places in the apartment. The anti-cockroach gel is applied in dotted lines at intervals of 2 cm around the perimeter of the room and in places where parasites move.

A cockroach, having tasted the poison, poisons itself and carries it on its paws to the colony, infecting its other inhabitants. Gradually, under the influence of the poison, all parasites living in the room die.

Its advantages are:

• Possibility of use in residential premises without removing people and animals;
• sufficient effectiveness to kill pests;
• residual effect lasts up to 2 months;

Instructions for use of Fas gel against cockroaches

It’s easy to use Fas gel; you don’t need to leave the room for several days.

Important! It is not advisable to use other insecticides, especially strong-smelling ones, during this period.

But it is recommended to follow this algorithm:

1. Clear the room of food debris (crumbs, drops, waste). Wipe wet areas and prevent insects from reaching moisture and food.
2. In cracks, under baseboards, under furniture and appliances, on vertical surfaces, apply the gel in a thin layer, in drops, dotted or in a line. Under the sink, behind the refrigerator, near the trash can, also apply dots, between which there should be no more than 2 cm.

Important! Apply the product in minimal doses - optimally many tiny dots along lines (walls, pipelines).

1 package of gel is enough for a one-time treatment of a room up to 60 m² (75 ml tube). Repeat the treatment after 1 month (to protect against cockroaches that have just hatched or ran in from neighbors).

Healthy. To combat ants, follow the method described above, but the consumption rate is 1.5 times less. Process ant routes - along and across them, so that the ants cannot pass without getting dirty.

Composition, principle of operation

Super Fas powder is pale gray in color with a specific chemical odor. The active components are:

• thiamethoxam 4%;
• Zetacypermethrin 1%.

The composition is supplemented with water-soluble additives.

The poison for cockroaches is characterized by an acute effect, penetrating into the body of the pest, blocking the functions of the nervous system, which is manifested by paralysis and death of the insect.

Produced by the Russian JSC NPO Hygiene-Bio. If it enters the stomach, it belongs to class 3 of moderately hazardous substances, and in terms of degree of volatility – to class 2. For household use, it is sold in sealed bags of 5–20 g. It is also available in the form of tablets, one piece per package. For professionals, a container weighing 1 kg is presented. The shelf life of the unopened drug is 2 years at temperatures from minus 20°C to +40°C.

Powder

Cockroach powder is practically not used at home because it is toxic. Before carrying out work, careful preparation is carried out to minimize harm. People, pets and vegetation are removed from the apartment. All food and bedding are packaged. For these purposes, containers and thick film are used. In Russia, a description is attached to all insecticidal preparations.

Fas powder for domestic cockroaches comes in two forms:

• Double.
• Super Fas.

Super face

Among the powdered poisons for cockroaches, superfas is distinguished. After all, this product can be used to combat cockroaches, bedbugs, ants and other insects. This type is usually used by exterminators, although it is also sold in specialized departments. Super Pack is sold in sachets with a volume of 10 mg. The principle of using the powder composition is similar to the principle of using tablets. Since the mixture is toxic, all activities are carried out in protective clothing, gloves, as well as a respirator and goggles.

Features of use

• Studying the instructions. The instructions for using anti-cockroach facet contain the main points.
• Pets, children and adults are removed from the premises.
• Food and utensils are placed in sealed bags or containers.
• Pack clothes and hygiene supplies.
• Dilute the powder composition in accordance with the manufacturers' recommendations. To treat 1 m2 you will need about 50 ml of the prepared solution. If there is a large infestation of insects, repeat treatment is carried out.
• To eliminate arthropod pests, the solution is applied to baseboards, sewer risers, water pipes and kitchen furniture.
• The apartment or house is sealed for 2–3 hours. After this time period, all rooms are ventilated.
• Wet cleaning is carried out to eliminate the remains of arthropod pests.
• The procedure can be repeated after 1-1.5 months.

The unused solution is discarded because it cannot be stored for a long time. The effectiveness of drugs of this brand decreases with long-term storage.

Front double

Fas double for cockroaches is a powdery composition that is less toxic. Therefore, it is allowed to use a double for processing apartments and country houses. You can carry out all activities yourself. But before using a double insecticide, you should carefully study the instructions, which contain the basic recommendations and rules for using the insecticidal composition.
