Cockroach control products “Clean House”

Advantages of a “Clean House”

The main advantage of the drug is its unique chemical form and versatility of action. In addition to bedbugs, the product effectively destroys other types of parasites:

  • moles;
  • cockroaches;
  • woodlice;
  • fleas;
  • bed lice.

It has a negative effect even on small rodents - mice and rats.

The second undoubted advantage is that after treatment with “Clean House” there are no stains left on clothes, furniture upholstery, carpets, curtains, etc.

The consumption of the drug is economical, since due to the equipment with a finely targeted sprayer, it can be used locally, only in places that need treatment and hard to reach - crevices, cracks, etc. A 3-5 second spray is enough per square meter.

Operating principle

Cockroach trap Clean Home is a combination of effective insecticides with flavors and food additives.
The discs consist of a gel substance that is resistant to external factors - temperature, sunlight. Poisonous properties last up to 2 months. Cockroaches are attracted to the smell of fragrances. Pests eat the poison with a huge appetite, thanks to the presence of food additives. The poison does not act immediately, so insects eat it without fear and carry it to secluded places for the larvae. Approximately on the third day, mass poisoning begins, the death of the pest population. After 7-14 days, a new generation of larvae appears, which also gradually die out before they have time to lay eggs.

Dust or powder from cockroaches Clean House is a nerve agent. If it gets on the chitinous cover, it causes dysfunction of the nervous system and muscle paralysis. Death occurs within a few minutes. It does not have an immediate effect, so the cockroach has time to return to the nest and stain its relatives. Within a couple of days, an entire family becomes infected, and then mass extinction begins.

Dust Clean House on the treated surface can remain for months. Active components do not disintegrate under the influence of temperature and sunlight. To eliminate the poison, you need to collect the powder and wash the application areas with soap and soda solution.

Mode of application

The room to be treated must be properly prepared. All strangers and pets, including an aquarium with fish, are removed from the room. If it is impossible to remove the aquarium, it is tightly closed. The air compressor is turned off during the procedure and ventilation.

Furniture, as far as possible, is laid out and disassembled, dishes and food are taken out or placed in sealed bags.

All rooms of the apartment must be treated simultaneously to avoid migration of parasites from one room to another.

Before starting the procedure, the can of the drug should be shaken vigorously several times.

All potential places where insects accumulate, including baseboards, ventilation holes, etc., are subject to particularly thorough disinsection. Spraying is carried out from a distance of approximately 20 centimeters.

Ideally, the apartment should be closed and left for 48 hours to allow the drug to take effect.

Then the home is ventilated for at least 2-3 hours until the smell of the product completely disappears. After which a thorough wet cleaning is carried out.

After a week, the treatment must be repeated to destroy newly hatched parasites.

Forms of release of drugs

The remedy for cockroaches “Clean House” is an insecticidal preparation of the modern generation. A varied line allows you to choose the best option for getting rid of various types of parasites. Products are offered in the following forms:

  • aerosol;
  • powder;
  • gel;
  • chalk;
  • traps.

Next, we will consider each type separately.

The product line includes aerosol, powder (dust), gel, chalk, and traps. The active ingredients in the preparations are two substances: cypermethrin (13%) and tetramethrin (2.5%). They have a neurotoxic effect and cause paralysis of the motor system, which leads to the death of the parasites.

Aerosol

Aerosol “Clean House” is sprayed onto cockroach nests

The effect of the drug begins 1-2 hours after spraying. Once on the protective cover, the product is absorbed and poisons the cockroach’s body.

Note! To achieve maximum effect, aerosol treatment should be carried out in all rooms. For 3-5 seconds, the aerosol is sprayed over the area where cockroaches accumulate. One can is enough to treat a room of 30 sq.m. You can also add dust for cockroaches.

Powder (dust)

The concentration of active components in the powder preparation is much lower, but it contains piperonyl butoxide (10%). This component increases the toxicity of the product. One package is enough to treat 10 sq.m.

Precautionary measures when treating premises with dust are no different from those that occur when baiting parasites with an aerosol. Personal protective equipment will prevent small dust particles from entering the lungs, allergies, and skin itching.

There are two options for using the powder:

  • sprinkle dust over all surfaces;
  • spray the solution (ratio: 10 grams of powder per 1 liter of water).

After treatment, the premises must be left. After 2-3 hours, you need to carry out wet cleaning: wash the floors, wipe the walls, horizontal surfaces. In hard-to-reach places behind furniture, in cracks, behind baseboards, it is better to leave the dust so that the hatched insects also die.

Gel from a syringe is applied in dotted lines along the places of movement of cockroaches

Available in the form of a syringe. Does not pose a significant danger to people. You can treat rooms with gel wearing gloves; there is no need for other personal protective equipment.

Cockroaches, attracted by the active substances in the gel, eat it and soon die. The effect of use will appear within 3 days. One syringe is enough to treat a room of 20-25 sq.m.

When applied, the chalk crumbles. To prevent animals from spreading dust, you should wash the floor

The insecticide contains alpha-cypermethrin (0.2%). Used to treat any surface. Does not require exceptional precautions. Just like the gel, the chalk is applied with gloves on in places where parasites accumulate or move. Cockroaches, coming into contact with chalk traces, spread the product to their nests and infect their relatives. The chalk lasts about 3-4 weeks. After this time, it is recommended to re-treat.

You can use chalk in two ways:

  • apply the product directly to the surface in strips 2-4 cm wide;
  • chalk diluted in water to the consistency of sour cream is smeared in places where parasites accumulate and move, near baseboards, under furniture.

The product is used economically: one chalk is enough to treat a room of up to 50 sq.m.

Traps

To prevent your pet from getting to the trap, it should be placed in hard-to-reach places

Compact box with a hole. Having penetrated it, cockroaches become infected with a toxic substance, which they then carry to their nests. The effect depends on the infestation of the premises with parasites.

Important! The trap is absolutely safe for people and animals. Placed in places where cockroaches accumulate on horizontal surfaces or attached to vertical surfaces using adhesive tape, which is included in the kit.

According to reviews, it is recommended to use a combination of products to effectively clean rooms. For example, aerosol and gel. The first form of insecticide acts almost instantly and, when treated, allows you to destroy most of the population. The gel can then be used to kill the surviving individuals and the young generation emerging from the intact eggs. Dust can be used instead of gel, but it is more dangerous for people than gel.

So, the “Clean Home” line of products are effective insecticides that can be used to clean your home from cockroaches and other harmful insects. For more effective cleaning, it is recommended to use a combination of several forms of the drug.

Terms of use

Upholstered parts of furniture also need treatment. Here the drug does not leave any stains. However, streaks may appear on polished and glass surfaces. After airing the room, they can be removed with a damp sponge.

If you decide to use dust, it can be used in its pure form. In places where parasites are most concentrated, powder is scattered and left for at least 4 hours. After this, the powder is collected, and the surface is thoroughly washed with a solution of soap and salt. The final stage of processing using dust is diluting it in water. 10 grams of the drug are used per 1 liter. Using a sprayer, the solution is applied throughout the room.

Not everyone knows that bedbugs have a fairly high resistance to insecticidal substances. That is why you should not spare any expense when processing. To kill bedbugs, any drug requires several times more than when fighting other insects.

After treatment, it is recommended to leave the room closed for a couple of hours. After this, you can begin to ventilate it. Arrange a good draft in the apartment so that any remaining drug in the air quickly disappears. Before returning things, pets and plants to your home, it is recommended to wash it with soapy water and baking soda. Hard-to-reach places need not be wiped so that they repel parasites for a long time with a residual effect.

Advantages and disadvantages

Advantages:

  • ease of use;
  • economical consumption;
  • long action;
  • low price;
  • no pungent odor;
  • relative safety.

Flaws:

  • stains the surface being treated;
  • it is impossible to apply to furniture from the reverse side, pipelines;
  • with prolonged use, resistance develops in Prussians.

The use of dust requires the use of a respirator, a mask, and rubber gloves are required.

Powder

The composition is almost identical to the aerosol. The difference lies in the release form and the greater concentration of chemical components. This is allowed. After all, the powder should not be sprayed. It also contains piperonyl butoxide, which significantly enhances its insecticidal properties.

However, it should be remembered that such a compound is dangerous not only for domestic animals, but also for humans. Therefore, accidental ingestion should be completely avoided.

Reviews show that the powder works well against small rodents in cellars and country houses. The scope of its application is quite wide, but requires caution.

To get rid of cockroaches or other crawling parasites, you can use two methods.

  1. The powder is scattered in a thin layer along the “paths” and suspected insect habitats.
  2. Prepare a solution of water in a 1:1 ratio and use a sprayer to treat baseboards, cracks, back walls of furniture and other hidden places.

Exposure time is 2-4 hours. After this, wet cleaning must be carried out. The powder should not remain to avoid accidental poisoning.

Another form of “clean house” insecticide is powder or, as they say, dust. The dust contains the same two types of insecticide (cypermethrin and tetramethrin), but in lower concentrations than in aerosols.

To increase the effectiveness of the dust, another component is included in its composition - piperonyl butoxide. In itself, this substance is not dangerous for insects, however, it greatly increases the activity of the main insecticides, that is, it is a synergist.

The powder can be used in two ways:

  • The dust is scattered over the surfaces and left for a while;
  • The powder is diluted with water to pour into cracks and gaps.

Compound

The manufacturer of Clean House traps is Russia. The shelf life is 3 years from the date of manufacture in unopened form. After placement in the room, the discs are changed after 2 months.

The active component is the insecticidal substance chlorpyrifos (0.05%). Additionally, the bait contains a preservative, stabilizer, gelling agent, and food additives. The insecticide has a contact-intestinal effect. After touching the poison, the cockroach becomes dangerous to others - it transfers a dose of poison to its relatives. The maximum effect is observed when eating poison.

The drug is produced in Russia in the form of a friable white powder. The package contains 50 g of dust. This amount is enough to process 10 square meters. m area. Shelf life in sealed packaging is 3 years. After spraying, the protection against cockroaches is changed on the floor every 2 months.

The active components are broad-spectrum insecticidal substances - malathion, cypermethrin. Piperonyl butoxide is used as a synergist. The base is talc. Insecticides belong to the third class of danger; when used correctly, the health of people and pets is not threatened. Dust Clean House is allowed to be used in residential premises.

Instructions for use

The high effectiveness of the drug is explained by the presence of toxic substances in high concentrations. That is why, in order not to harm yourself and others, you should strictly follow the instructions for use:

  • Before using the drug, you should thoroughly clean the room. This will increase the effectiveness of the drug;
  • do not forget to ventilate the room thoroughly;
  • immediately before treatment, completely empty the apartment of pets, other residents and indoor plants;
  • the manufacturer requires the use of personal protective equipment during processing;
  • carefully examine the room to find nests of insects and places of their mass accumulation;
  • It is strictly prohibited to treat surfaces near food. Therefore, they must be taken out of the room.
