Features of application - regulations of treatments and dosage
Use on open and protected ground
The drug "Actellik" has found application in the protection of vegetable, fruit and flower crops grown in open and protected ground conditions.
In open ground conditions, the effect of the drug is limited, since it has hazard class 1 (especially dangerous) when exposed to bees. But in protected soil conditions (greenhouses, hotbeds, greenhouses), the drug "Actellik" is widely and universally used.
The drug is sprayed onto the vegetative parts of plants at the first sign of detection of insect pests.
The concentration of the working solution is usually 0.1–0.15%, depending on the number of insects and the age of the plant. In epiphytotic situations, the dosage can be increased by 2-4 times.
The dosage of the drug is determined by the instructions for use:
Culture | Pest | Dosage |
Vegetables and flowers, strawberries | Aphids, thrips, Colorado potato beetle, whitefly , strawberry mite and the whole complex of pests | 3-4ml./1l. water |
Fruit trees | Codling moth , mites, aphids, etc. | 1ml./1l. water |
Berry bushes (currants, honeysuckle, serviceberry, hawthorn, raspberries, gooseberries) | Fruit sawflies, spider mites and bud mites | 1.5-2ml./1l. water |
Ephedras, thujas and other ornamental plants | Pest complex | 2ml./1l. water. |
Working fluid consumption is 5-15 l/100 m2, depending on the crop being treated and the intensity of spraying.
It is necessary to take into account that the Actellik solution must be applied to both sides of the leaves and excessive dripping from the leaf surface should not be allowed. The product is sprayed with garden pump sprayers. However, the best spraying method is “cold fog”; special equipment is used for this.
The number of treatments is most often 2 times and at intervals of 5-7 days.
The period of protective action when using Actellik is 1-2 weeks, then, if necessary, treatments are repeated.
Use for processing premises, warehouses and storage facilities
Warehouses of the food industry and healthcare institutions, as well as grain and other product storage facilities, are treated against pests with the drug "Actellik" 3-4 weeks before entering storage. If there is information about the presence of contamination of the premises, carry out 2-fold treatment. The second treatment must be carried out at least 1 week before storage. Before spraying the drug, you should clean the room - remove remnants from previous storage, dirt, old insects, which can be reserves for new infections.
Treatment is also carried out by spraying the working solution. Dosage - 16 ml. concentrate for 0.8-1 l.
Working fluid consumption is up to 30-50 ml. working solution per 1 m2 of treated area, or at the rate of 1 liter. working solution for processing 1 t. grains

Treatment of indoor plants
The drug "Actellik" is effective for protecting indoor plants from scale insects, false scale insects, mealybugs and thrips. It is used both as a therapeutic agent for exterminating pests and as a preventative. The methods and procedure for carrying out treatments are described in a separate material on the website “Pests of indoor plants: methods of control and prevention” .
Dosage 2ml/1-1.5l. water. The drug is applied by spraying/irrigation, or the working solution is wiped on both sides of the leaf plate.
The consumption of the working solution is 50-200 ml. per plant, depending on the size and type of plant.
Instructions for use and consumption rates for indoor plants
Instructions for use are the same as for garden plants. Only treat indoor plants on the balcony or in the fresh air, but under no circumstances indoors. And if you need to treat office plants, then you need to do it on weekends so that there are no people in the office.
For prevention, it will be enough to spray your plants once, but to combat various pests, the treatment will need to be repeated after 1-1.5 weeks.
From time to time, Actellik is replaced with other solutions of the same type, so that there is no addiction or to destroy surviving pests.
Actellik: mechanism of action of pest control
Actellik is a pesticide that acts only upon contact with the affected object.
It is based on intestinal contact action. Penetrating inside the body, the active substance disrupts the production of enzymes responsible for the activity of nerves and muscles in transmitting impulses. As a result of an increase in the content of the substance in the nervous tissues, the work of all organs of the pests fails. Intoxication of the whole body begins.
It has a fumigant effect, which makes it possible to use even for hard-to-reach pests that are located on the underside of the leaf blade.
Important!
Despite the fact that the drug Actellik is not addictive, for greater effectiveness it can be used in combination with other drugs of similar action.

The duration of action of the drug Actellik, the waiting period is quite short. The pests die within a few minutes.
The action lasts up to several hours. The time of destruction of the pest is determined by its belonging to a particular species, as well as the surrounding climatic conditions in which the treatment takes place.
The protection time for treated plants varies depending on which crop was treated. For example, when treating vegetables and flowering plants with Actellik, the protection lasts for 14 days. Crops growing in field conditions - from 14 to 21 days.
Actellik has also proven itself to be excellent in the fight against various types of barn pests. Here the duration of protection increases significantly – from 8 to 12 months.
Efficiency and effect of the drug
This remedy has a contact-intestinal effect, leading to paralysis and death of pests.
Actellik begins to act within a few minutes to several hours. The effect of the drug lasts for 2-3 weeks.
This chemical solution has many advantages. For example:
- It eliminates pests very quickly, as it enters the insect’s body through the respiratory system or droplets onto its outer integument.
- Prevents their secondary appearance.
- Long duration of exposure.
- Wide range of applications: agriculture, vegetable growing, fruit growing, granary, forestry, etc.
- Thoroughly fights pests, even in hard-to-reach places.

Reviews from people
Actellik is one of the most effective means of pest control.
This is evidenced by many reviews from summer residents, gardeners and just a lover of flower plants:
- Veronica, 38 years old. I've been into houseplants for a very long time. After trying Actellik, now I don’t buy or use anything else. It very quickly and effectively destroys various parasites and does not cause any harm to plants. It has a small drawback - it has a sharp, unpleasant smell.
- Irina, 43 years old. Helped a lot in controlling mites for my indoor plants. Saved in one go! Very strong and good product!
- Maria, 20 years old. Pests have appeared on indoor plants. I bought this drug in a special store and treated my plants on the balcony. And that’s it, the pests are gone! I handled it with gloves and a mask, as it is toxic and dangerous.
- Natalya, Chelyabinsk. Treated plants against scale insects. I bought Actellik and diluted it in the following proportions: 1 ampoule of the drug per 2 liters of warm water. I wore gloves and a work coat, tried to turn away and not breathe in the solution, since the smell was very unpleasant, but tolerable. The scale insect was destroyed immediately. But there was one nuance: when the flowers bloomed, the smell was still there, but it didn’t last long, then it disappeared.
What is Actellik, advantages and disadvantages
This product belongs to the category of chemicals designed to eliminate a wide variety of pests that attack plants cultivated by gardeners in their areas. This includes fruit trees, vegetables, and berries. In short, everything that grows in the garden plot. Actellik is used for plants growing, including indoors.
Photo of Actellik product
Insectoacaricide Actellik is a non-systemic drug.
Acts pointwise, locally during contact interaction. On the one hand, this is an advantage of the product, since it does not affect the plant being treated.
On a note!
Systemic drugs act differently, penetrating into the plant itself, filling its tissues, and only when the pest gets inside they have a damaging effect.
It is worth mentioning the advantages of Actellik, which are enough to make a choice in favor of this particular drug.

Disadvantages:
- strict compliance with the standards for the use of the drug is necessary, since it belongs to a high hazard class;
- effective only if the temperature range is observed from 15 to 25 degrees above 0;
- high price.
If the latter is a significant drawback, that is, high cost, you can look for analogs and substitutes. They will be discussed below.
Precautionary measures
It’s worth saying right away that Actellik is not toxic to plants and therefore does not pose a danger to them. It is also necessary to keep in mind that Actellik has a hazard class of 2 for humans (for fish and bees - 1).
Photos of protective equipment when using Actellik
In this regard, there are certain safety rules that must be strictly followed:
- use separate containers for dilution (under no circumstances should these containers be used for storing or eating food);
- wear protective clothing: goggles, respirator, gloves, cap;
- do not drink, do not eat, do not smoke during processing;
- exclude the presence of children and animals near the area where processing takes place;

Attention!
In case of accidental contact with the skin or mucous membranes, rinse immediately with clean water. The same applies to eye contact. You may feel dizzy from the fumes of the product. In this case, you need to go out into the fresh air and drink as much fluid as possible. If ingested, rinse the stomach. A quick remedy for this is baking soda. For 200 grams of water – 1 tsp. soda The water should be at room temperature. You need to induce vomiting, for which you repeat the procedure of drinking water with soda several times.
In the case of processing closed premises, access is prohibited for 1 to 3 days. This waiting period applies when the maximum permissible level of a substance in the air is exceeded.
Work with the drug that is safe for humans should last no more than 2 hours.
Actellik: compatibility with other drugs
Sometimes the drug is combined with other similar drugs to obtain a complex effect. Actellik is compatible with many insecticides and fungicides. It is important that they coincide in terms of timing.
Such means include:
- Aktar;
- Fufanon;
- Albite;
- Akarin.
Attention!
It is strictly forbidden to use the drug Actellik with products containing calcium and copper. Those that give an alkali reaction are also not suitable. These include Epin and Zircon.
To prevent unpleasant reactions, it is worth checking in advance for compatibility of the drugs selected for use in the complex. A sign of drug inconsistency is the presence of lumps in the resulting solution.
CHOOSE INSECTICIDES!
